Annual Inter-University Quiz 2011Date: 19 November 2011 (Saturday 10.00am-5.30pm) An annual activity which invited 7 other teams from different universities all over the UK to compete with a team from Cambridge in an intellectual quiz on various topics, ranging from pop music to current affairs. This year we had Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, KCL, Imeprial College, UCL, Warwick and Durham participating in the competition and the winning team was Imperial College. |

Annual Oxbridge Debate 2011Date: 12 November 2011 (Saturday 2.30pm-5.30pm) Venue: Riley Auditorium, Clare College, CambridgeEvery Michaelmas, Oxford University Hong Kong Society and CUHKCAS would field 3 freshers each for a duel of intellects over the most hotly contested topics in Hong Kong and China affairs. This year, it was our turn to play host to this exciting event. This year we also introduced a Cantonese debate as well as the traditional English debate. |

In Dialogue with the Chief Justice of Hong Kong, The Hon. Geoffrey Ma Tao-liDate: 29 October 2011 (Saturday 5.30pm-7.00pm) Venue: Riley Auditorium, Clare College, Cambridge We were very honoured to have the Chief Justice of Hong Kong coming over to Cambridge to speak to us and he addressed the topic 'Why Law Matters At All'. This event was supported by the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies and the Cambridge University Law Society. |

Freshers' Formal 2011Date: 19 October 2011 (Wednesday 2.30pm-4.30pm) Venue: Robinson College, Cambridge The Formal aimed at providing a proper welcome to all our newly registered members and to kick-start a series of exciting events CUHKCAS has planned for this term. Our existing members were also cordially invited to join us in welcoming our new members. |

Freshers' Squash 2011Date: 15 October 2011 (Saturday 2.30pm-4.30pm) Venue: J8, Robinson College, Grange Road, Cambridge This was a great opportunity for participants to mingle with other freshers and current members of CUHKCAS. We also presented members the upcoming events that we prepared to offer in the year. |
